Brave Heart Home

A Place of safety for our community’s vulnerable Children

Brave Heart Home – A place of safety for vulnerable children

Brave Heart Home is a temporary place of safety for vulnerable children. We are situated in De Doorns in the Hex River Valley in South Africa’s Western Cape Province. We provide the first step in the care of children in need in our area and also assist the families of the children involved. We deliver a service to the community that makes a big difference in the lives of the small people in the community. As the Hex River Valley has a large underprivileged population, there is a considerable need for this service.

How to Support Brave Heart Kidz

We accommodate orphans and children whose parents are unable to take care of them. Our care goes well beyond feeding and clothing the children as we tend to their emotional, spiritual and physical needs by providing a loving temporary home to them and thus assisting them to thrive. At Brave Heart Home, we also introduce the children to a family structure, thus preparing them for the future. We work with their families, local government, welfare organisations and local clinics to provide the children with the best possible care.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a safe and loving temporary home to abused, abandoned, and neglected children in need, whether they are orphans, ill, or in need of foster care.

We also strive to find suitable long-term homes for the children. This includes helping the children’s parents to be in the position to take care of their own children again, as well as sourcing parents who are willing to foster or adopt orphans so that the children can be raised in a family environment.
