Department of Infrastructure Visits Brave Heart Home with Generous Community Support

Brave Heart Home was privileged to welcome Minister Tertuis Simmers, Western Cape MEC for the Department of Infrastructure, together with members of his team and the Department’s Corporate Social Investment (CSI) Division, for a special visit to our home.

The visit was a meaningful opportunity to showcase the work being done at Brave Heart Home while sharing our mission of providing a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for vulnerable children in the Hex River Valley.

Along with spending time at our facility, the delegation arrived with an incredible collection of donations that will make a lasting difference in the lives of the children in our care. Their generosity included furniture, toys, clothing, and many other essential items that will help create a comfortable and welcoming environment for every child.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the ASLA Foundation for their beautiful blankets and generous grocery donation, as well as Agrimark Orchard for their valued support and involvement. Partnerships like these remind us that caring for vulnerable children is a responsibility that communities can share together.

Every donation received helps us provide not only the practical necessities our children need, but also the security, dignity, and sense of belonging they deserve.
